Introduction This Privacy Policy governs the HomeList mobile application, operated by our team in Oman. HomeList is a real estate platform that provides listings of properties for sale and rent, as well as off-plan projects for investment purposes.
We are deeply committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This policy clearly and comprehensively explains what information we collect from users, how it is used, and how it is protected.
By using the HomeList app, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please refrain from using the application.
1. Scope of Application This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the HomeList app in Oman and other countries. The app has been developed in accordance with the laws of the Sultanate of Oman, including the Personal Data Protection Law and other relevant regulations.
2. Personal Information We Collect We do not collect or store any personal information from users.
- The HomeList app has no registration system, user login, or user accounts.
- There are no fields for entering name, phone number, email address, physical address, photos, or any other personally identifiable information.
- All property listings and off-plan projects are added and updated exclusively by the HomeList team. Users do not enter any information into the app.
- The only possible user interaction is clicking the “Contact via WhatsApp” button, which redirects the user to the WhatsApp application to chat directly with our support team. No data from this action is stored or logged on HomeList servers.
Temporary Technical Data (Non-Personal): For the app to function properly (such as displaying property listings), it may automatically receive anonymous information such as operating system version, device model, and device language. These details are not stored, are not used to identify any user, and are discarded immediately after use.
3. How We Use the Information Since no personal information is collected or stored, we do not use any personal data of our users. Temporary technical data is used solely to ensure proper app functionality and to troubleshoot any technical issues.
4. Sharing of Information We do not share, sell, rent, or transfer any personal information with any third party, as no such information is collected in the first place.
Any communication via WhatsApp occurs entirely outside the HomeList app and is governed by Meta’s (WhatsApp) Privacy Policy.
5. Data Security Although no personal data is stored in the app, our technical team implements appropriate security measures (such as encryption for server communications when loading listings) to protect the app against unauthorized access.
6. User Rights Since no personal information about you is stored in our database, there is no need to exercise the following rights:
- Right of access to data
- Right to rectification or updating of data
- Right to erasure of data (Right to be Forgotten)
- Right to object to data processing

7. Children The HomeList app is designed for individuals aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 18 years of age. If we become aware that data from a child has been collected, we will delete it immediately.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any material changes will be notified through an in-app announcement or on our website (if available). Your continued use of the app after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. Please review this policy periodically.
9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman. Any disputes arising from this policy shall be resolved in the competent courts of Oman.
